Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how BRITHOLIDAY LTD (“Britholiday”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://britholiday.com/ and its associated hotel booking platforms.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage and other methods of storing information on or accessing information from your device.

We use these technologies in accordance with applicable UK privacy and data protection law, including the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.

2. Who We Are

3. Types of Cookies and Similar Technologies

The cookies or technologies actually used on the website depend on its current configuration and the services enabled.

A. Strictly necessary technologies

These are used where necessary to provide a service you have requested or to enable the website to operate securely. Depending on the website's configuration, they may support session management, security, fraud prevention, navigation or remembering your privacy choices.

Where a technology is strictly necessary under applicable law, consent may not be required. We will not classify a technology as strictly necessary merely because it is convenient for us.

B. Preference technologies

These may remember choices such as language, region or other website preferences. Whether consent is required depends on the purpose and how the technology operates.

C. Analytics and performance technologies

If enabled, these may help us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are visited, how users navigate between pages and whether technical errors occur. Non-essential analytics technologies will not be activated before the required consent has been obtained.

D. Advertising and marketing technologies

If enabled, these may be used to measure advertising effectiveness, understand campaign performance or provide relevant advertising. These technologies may be operated by third-party providers. Non-essential advertising and marketing technologies will not be activated before the required consent has been obtained.

Important: The categories above describe possible uses. They do not confirm that every category or any particular third-party tracking service is currently active on Britholiday.com. The live website's cookies, tags and storage technologies must be audited and this Policy updated to match the actual configuration.

4. Consent and Your Choices

Where required by law, we will request your consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. Our cookie preference mechanism should allow you to:

• Accept non-essential cookies.
• Reject non-essential cookies.
• Choose categories individually where applicable.
• Change or withdraw your preferences later.

Rejecting non-essential cookies should not prevent you from using features that do not require those cookies. Essential technologies may still operate where legally permitted. You may change your choices through the website's cookie settings or preference link, where available.

5. Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies through their settings. Browser controls can be useful, but blocking all cookies may affect website functionality or remove saved preferences.

Browser settings do not necessarily control every technology that a website may use. Use the website's preference mechanism as well where available.

6. Third-Party Cookies

If third-party tools are enabled, their providers may place or access cookies or similar technologies in accordance with their respective arrangements and privacy notices.

We will identify relevant third-party technologies in our cookie settings or cookie list where appropriate. Third-party providers may change their services, so the cookie inventory should be reviewed periodically.

7. Personal Information and Cookies

Some cookies or similar technologies may process information that is personal data under UK GDPR. Where this occurs, our Privacy Policy also applies.

Where applicable, we will explain the purpose of the processing and the relevant lawful basis. Consent to cookies and the lawful basis for any subsequent personal data processing are related but separate compliance questions.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the technologies used on our website or changes in the law. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
